Diner En Noir with Secret Foodies

To get the festive season started, we worked with Secret Foodies to bring their inaugural event Diner en Noir to life. On the 1st November, with the secret location announced just 2 hours before, we arrived at the historic Queen Victoria Building dressed on theme in our finest ‘black tie with a dash of horror’.

Guests gathered for a drink around a grand piano before heading to dinner at Esquire for a specially curated menu full of blackened elements such as charcoal sourdough and squid ink pasta. Of course, a ’Noir’ themed event wouldn’t be complete without Mr Black cocktails.

Esquire served 2 exceptional drinks:
– Numero Uno (Mr Black, Pedro Ximenez, Caramalised Banana, Coconut & Chocolate bitters) to accompany a flaming Bombe Alaska dessert
– Our signature Cold Brew Old Fashioned (Mr Black, Rye Whiskey, Orange) post-dinner, giving everyone a boozy coffee kick that took them to the dance floor.
