COFFEE COCKTAIL CHALLENGE FAQS

The cocktail competition is open for entries for 2 weeks, starting on the 28th September until 11th October. Entries will close at 11:59pm (PT) on Monday the 11th of October 2022.

The top 3 cocktails will be chosen by the Mr Black Judges and will be posted on social for you to vote for your favourite.

  • No purchase necessary
  • Contest open to residents of Australia, United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic.
  • Opening date –28th September 2022
  • Closing date – 11th October 2022 at 11:59pm (PT)
  • Contest sponsor – Mr Black Spirits, Level 1, 275 Clarence St, Sydney NSW 2000 AUS
  • 1 grand prize (valued at $3000USD)
  • 3 x semi finalists will be selected by the Mr Black judging panel. Each cocktail will receive a combined score based on taste, presentation,  and creativity. The top 3 cocktails that receive the highest combined score from the judging panel will be selected as the Top 3.
  • The final winner will be selected by the public through a social vote. from the 10 semi finalists via a judging panel consisting of judges selected by Mr Black Spirits.
  • The grand prize winner will be announced on the 24th October 2022
  • The Winner will be notified by social or email, announced on Mr Black Spirits social channels (Facebook and Instagram) as well as publicly listed on mrblack.co

SUBMIT YOUR COCKTAIL BETWEEN 28TH SEPTEMBER AND 11TH OCTOBER

You can submit your cocktail recipe following the steps:

A cocktail submission must:

  1. include Mr Black Coffee Liqueur as an ingredient. Minimum 30ml (1oz) Mr Black
  2. be an original creation
  3. not contain more than 90ml (3 oz) of liquor (any liquid above 15% alc/vol)
  4. You must be of legal drinking age in your country of residence to enter

Cocktails are submitted on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook using the hashtag #coffeecocktailchallege and tagging @mrblackspirits

Cocktail submissions can be in video or image format. Submissions must a post, they cannot be a temporary story.

Cocktail recipes must include in the video, image or caption:

  • a description
  • itemised ingredients list
  • step by step instructions

You can enter as many original cocktails as you like.

  • Three semi finalists will be selected by the Mr Black Judging Panel based on an equally weighted criteria: 1 – Creativity. Is it new? 2 – Taste. Is it delicious? 3 – Presentation. Does it look good? 4 – Simplicity and Ease of Making. Was it easy to make?
  • The three semi finalists will be announced on 18 October 2022
  • The winner will be selected via public voting on @mrblackspirits.
  • The public will be given 48 hours to vote by “liking” the relevant post.
  • The cocktail that receives the highest number of “likes” on Instagram will be deemed as the winner of the competition.
  • The grand prize winner will be announced on the 24 October 2022 (PT)

  • Ingredient list with quantities in ml or oz
  • Instructions on how to make the drink, such that our Mr Black judging panel can recreate the drink.

The best way to receive more votes is by sharing a link to your cocktail on social media – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok Reddit, etc.

Voting will be open for 48hours

The cocktail with the highest number of votes by the 19th October will be announced as the winner.

You can vote for multiple cocktail recipes but CANNOT vote for one cocktail multiple times.

You can vote on @mrblackspirits instagram between 18 and 20 October 2022.

You can vote for you favourite cocktail by following the instructions on the post.
